Did you know that over one-quarter of American adults have tried CBD at some point? It’s difficult to avoid the influence of this cannabinoid; you can find it in everything from toothpicks to soaps.

CBD is advertised to help relieve depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. It can also help you if you’ve had trouble sleeping.

One of the best ways to enjoy everything CBD offers is topical products. This guide will help you choose the best CBD lotions. There are plenty of options available, so we’ll make it easier for you.

Ready to learn more? Let’s get started.

Topical CBD Products

The most popular CBD products tend to be edible. Gummies, oils, and various CBD-infused snacks are all a great and natural way to manage various health conditions, including chronic pain.

However, if you’re looking for an option that targets specific parts of the body, then a CBD lotion is what you want.

People with arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic muscle aches, and other conditions should turn to CBD topical products because they provide fast and natural relief. You can also use CBD creams and lotions for recovery after strenuous exercise since it helps with inflammation and soreness.

One of the best aspects of using topical CBD products is that they are often made with all-natural ingredients that help keep your skin moisturized and glowing.

How We Chose the Best CBD Lotion

Now that you know why people gravitate toward CBD topical products, you’ll need to decide which topical option is best for you. The best way to narrow down your options and make an informed option is to consider a few important things.

First off, you’ll need to check the strength of each cream or lotion that you use. It’s measured in milligrams of CBD per container.

Some CBD creams for pain relief contain as little as 100 mg of cannabidiol, but they can go up to 1,000 mg or more. The higher the concentration, the more relief it provides.

You’ll also want to check independent third-party lab tests for any CBD topical that you want to purchase. This helps you avoid potentially harmful toxins that do more harm than good.

Be sure to take a good look at the ingredients of any CBD products you’re looking at. You don’t want to buy a lotion that contains an ingredient that you’re allergic to.

Some CBD products are suitable for moisturizing the skin, while others are better suited for chronic pain. Think of the type of item that will benefit you most.

Benefits of CBD Topical Products

The reason that CBD continues to grow in popularity, more and more people recognize all of its benefits. Topical CBD creams and lotions work because the CBD goes straight to your endocannabinoid system once it’s absorbed into the skin.

The endocannabinoid system is intricate, and many researchers are still studying it. It may play a role in regulating a variety of processes in the body, such as:

  • Sleep
  • Stress
  • Immune responses
  • Memory
  • Pain
  • Appetite

Any chronic health conditions or injuries can throw everything out of order. There are two primary endocannabinoid receptors: CB1 receptors are located in the central nervous system, and CB2 receptors are found in the peripheral nervous system. These receptors help keep the body stable.

In addition to all of the good that CBD can potentially do on the inside, there are anti-inflammatory properties that benefit your skin. It can help relieve itching and pain reduce oil production, and certain CBD creams can help treat inflammatory skin conditions like eczema.

How to Use Properly

So you’ve found the best CBD lotions, now you need to know how to apply them properly. You’ll want to apply it to where the pain is centralized.

There’s little difference between applying regular lotion and a CBD topical; you just need to be more careful when applying CBD lotion.

Remember to choose a topical with the right concentration depending on your pain. If you’re unsure, start low and go slow. Begin with a lower dosage and gradually increase until you find the amount that works best for you.

Be sure that the area you’re applying lotion to is clean and free from any dirt or sweat; this will help the CBD get absorbed quicker. Start with a generous dollop and then thoroughly and gently massage into the skin. Not only will this help the cream penetrate deeper into the tissue, but it also increases blood flow.

Once you’re finished, be sure to wash your hands. Certain products tend to have heating or cooling ingredients added to them, which can burn your eyes if you don’t wash your hands after applying.

Some CBD topical products contain ingredients like mint or menthol, which can irritate your skin and do more harm than good.

Best CBD Lotions

People are constantly searching for a new way to improve their health with as few side effects as possible. CBD products continue to become more and more popular, so it’s no surprise that there is a demand for topical options. Thanks to their medicinal properties and environmentally friendly ingredients, natural products are sought out.

It can feel overwhelming knowing which are the best CBD lotions to choose from, but with the right amount of research, you’ll feel ready to make an informed decision.

Did you know that 33% of people in the United States have used CBD products at some point in their lives? On top of that 33%, the popularity of CBD is continuing to rise, most likely because more and more people are discovering its unique benefits. However, if you’re new to the world of CBD, you might be wondering where you should start.

CBD gummies are easy to consume and have a variety of benefits. But what should you know about the CBD gummies dosage? How can you know how much is safe for you to take?

This article will guide you through all the questions you might have about CBD gummy products. First, let’s take a closer look at what CBD gummies are, how they work, and how many you should take.

What Are CBD Gummies

CBD gummies can come in many shapes and forms. They may appear as supplements or as sugary pieces of candy. They are gelatinous and may contain full-spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD, or CBD isolate.

You should never make the mistake that all CBD gummies are the same. Depending on the brand that produces the gummies as well as the type of gummies themselves, there can be significant differences. Of course, if you’ve never tried CBD gummies before, you won’t want to try the strongest CBD gummy product on the market.

When you try CBD gummies for the first time, you’ll want to have a good experience. Because you don’t have a baseline of what to expect from CBD gummies, it’s always best to start small and then slowly work your way up. If you start with gummies that contain low concentrations of CBD, don’t be alarmed if you don’t feel the effects right away.

CBD tends to work better after you take it for some time since it will have a chance to build up in your body. The effects of CBD gummies may also be weaker compared to other methods of consumption. This is because it can take a while for your stomach acid to break the CBD into small enough molecules to absorb into your bloodstream.

Also, your stomach acid may end up destroying some of the CBD, meaning less will enter your blood and reach your brain. The effects of CBD tend to kick in around an hour or more after you take the CBD gummies.

For that reason, if you’ve never tried CBD gummies before, it’s best to try them when you’re at home so if you experience any side effects, you’ll be in a safe environment. Remember, however, that CBD won’t get you high.

Finding the Perfect CBD Gummies Dosage

When it comes to finding the best CBD gummies dosage for you, you’ll need to consider a few different aspects first. Your weight and metabolism are both very important since they will determine how your body will break down and experience a certain amount of CBD. The concentration of the CBD in a given gummy is, of course, very important as well.

The good thing about gummies is that you won’t have to guess the CBD concentration. This is unlike other products such as CBD oils or tinctures. When you buy CBD gummies, the product labeling will usually tell you how much CBD is in each gummy.

For example, the majority of CBD gummies have either 10 mg or 25 mg of CBD concentrated within each individual gummy. Of course, if you’ve never had a CBD gummy before, you might not know if 10 mg is too little or if 25 mg is too much. For first-timers, it is advised to start with the lower amounts to see how the CBD will affect you.

It will also give your body a chance to become accustomed to CBD. Many people make the mistake of consuming too many CBD gummies because they believe they can handle a higher dosage right away, or because the gummies are enticingly sugary. You should avoid doing this because you won’t know how your body will react to high amounts of CBD if you’ve never tried it before.

If you are really worried about potential side effects, you can eat a CBD gummy along with food. This will help dampen the effects of the CBD if you prefer to use CBD as more of a supplement.

CBD Gummy Dosage Based on Weight

As with most substances, those who weigh more are able to consume more of a given substance. For those who don’t weigh very much (less than 130 pounds), you should consume between 10 mg and 17 mg of CBD via gummies. The higher dose you consume, the more intense effects you will feel.

Those who have a moderate weight between 130 and 230 pounds can consume between 18 mg and 27 mg of CBD without any problems. Those who weigh more than 230 pounds may consume as much as 45 mg of CBD without experiencing any issues.

You may be wondering what might happen if you try consuming a dose of CBD that goes beyond your recommended range according to your weight. Luckily, CBD is not toxic so you will not experience any dangerous effects. If you take a very small dose of CBD, you likely won’t experience anything at all.

If you take too much, you might experience some common side effects such as fatigue or a dry mouth. However, you will not experience any life-threatening side effects and the effects of CBD will subside after a few hours.

All about Choosing the Right CBD Dosage

If you were unsure about choosing the right CBD gummies dosage before, now, you should know all about it. The potency of the gummies themselves as well as your weight and metabolism are all important. By choosing the right dosage, you can have a great CBD experience.

There are tons of benefits to using CBD body lotion regularly. CBD is derived from the cannabis plant but it doesn’t result in the same psychoactive high as using cannabis. Using CBD as a topical lotion is a gentle way to effectively alleviate many ailments.

Take a look at some of the benefits of CBD lotion and what you can expect from regular use.

1. Skin Hydration

If you’re prone to dry skin conditions and other skin lotions aren’t cutting it, CBD oil lotion could be exactly what you need. The combination of CBD oil, essential oils, and fatty acid oils is nourishing for the skin. CBD also triggers the endocannabinoid system which promotes healing in the body and makes the effects long-lasting.

2. Relief of Pain

CBD is a natural way to relieve pain. Many people use CBD for pain relief as an alternative or in addition to prescribed medicines. Rather than using dosages of CBD oil, CBD lotion is a fantastic way to go directly to the source of the pain.

CBD lotion for pain triggers the ECS receptors in the skin which makes it perfect for muscle and joint pain. It’s also ideal for sporting injuries during recovery time.

3. Revitalize Weathered Skin

Spending a lot of time in the sun can damage the skin. The sun can dry the skin’s natural oils and without replenishing them, the skin can become dry and irritated. Although sunburn will often heal by itself, it can be uncomfortable and even painful.

CBD lotion is an excellent way to soothe the discomfort and start the healing process. Similarly, CBD has anti-bacterial properties so it can clear the skin and stop infections from entering any wounds.

4. Clear Acne

Acne can occur at any age but often occurs more frequently during puberty. This is because of an imbalance in hormones that causes sebum production. CBD has been known to stop the overproduction of sebum and therefore prevent acne breakouts.

Be sure to check your CBD products to ensure they don’t contain coconut oil, palm oil, or beeswax which can clog pores.

5. Anti-Aging Help

Our skin is exposed to radicals from our environment every day. These radicals can harm the skin and cause it to age prematurely. Anti-oxidants can counteract the damage to radicals and CBD is a powerful anti-oxidant.

Topical antioxidants are perfect for nourishing the skin and protecting it from anything the day throws at it.

Did you know that CBD’s sales are expected to grow by 21% from the time between 2021 and 2028? CBD has taken our nation’s marketplace with a lasso, and many people are experimenting with this newly crazed substance.

But, a lesser-known hemp product to some people is CBG. CBD and CBG are quite similar, but there are some differences that you should know before experimenting with either.

In this article, we’ll explore the difference between CBD and CBG is, which one is best for you, and where to buy them.

What is CBG?

Cannabigerol (CBG) is a cannabinoid that is generally found in strains of cannabis that contain high amounts of CBD and low amounts of THC. Like CBD, CBG has is a non-psychoactive compound, meaning that it produces no high (like its THC counterpart). Something interesting about CBG, though, is that it can actually block the feeling of paranoia felt by THC.

This effect happens because CBG is a buffer that acts with cannabinoid receptors in the brain the same way CBD does.

CBG is extracted from young cannabis plants (such as hemp) because the young variations of this plant typically contain very high amounts of CBG. With this in mind, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise to know that levels of CBG reduce as the plant matures.

Yet, despite CBG mostly coming from young plants, the compound is generally regarded as the mother of cannabinoids. Why is this?

Well, other cannabinoids such as CBD and THC, derive from cannabigerol acid (CBGA). CBGA is an acidic form of CBG. In many aspects, CBG is known as the precursor to CBD and THC.

Up close, the CBG flower has a whitish hue to it. This white hue indicates the plant’s young age.

Most cannabis plants contain a small amount of CBG. In fact, mature cannabis plants only contain around 1% of CBG compared to CBD which ranges in amounts from 20-35%.

What Does CBG Do?

CBG, like CBD and THC, is processed in the human body’s endocannabinoid system, which contains receptors. These receptors accept a molecule called endocannabinoid, which plays a role in regulating our sleep, mood, appetite, and memory.

Endocannabinoids are naturally produced by our body during activities such as exercise. The names of the receptors that receive this endocannabinoid are called CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors are found in the central nervous system, while CB2 receptors are found in the peripheral nervous system.

Cannabinoids like THC o fit perfectly into these receptors, which gives the feeling of an extreme high whenever consumed. However, CBG and CBD do not actually fit into these receptors, but rather bind to a different location on the receptor.

Instead of giving a high, CBG and CBD produce other feelings. Listed below are some potential cbg benefits that one might experience:

  • Elevated moods (antidepressant properties)
  • Analgesic (painkiller)
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Can potentially help relieve glaucoma
  • CBG has shown signs of promise as a cancer-fighting compound

The Difference Between CBD and CBG

The biggest difference in CBG vs CBD is that CBG comes straight from young cannabis plants. As mentioned previously, matured cannabis plants contain extremely small amounts of CBG but higher amounts of CBD.

CBG and CBD share some similar uses, but CBG is known for having even smaller amounts of THC. Why is that?

In order to get CBD, the CBG’s structure has to be slightly shifted from CBGA (the acid we mentioned earlier).

With CBG, there is no need to alter the structure of the compound’s DNA, so there are usually much lower doses of THC in the compound. While some strains of CBD (especially those derived from hemp plants) contain very small doses of THC (<.05%), CBG doses contain almost no THC at all.

Regardless, both versions (except CBD full spectrum) won’t show up on typical drug tests for use of THC.

Now one thing to consider is the relative unavailability of CBG. As we are aware now, CBG is only really present in larger amounts in young cannabis plants. Because of this, it’s harder to get your hands on CBG than CBD.

Naturally, the price of CBG is a little bit higher. But CBG has become quite the hot topic lately, so the market is starting to introduce CBG in much higher quantities.

Which is Right for Me?

You might be wondering whether CBD or CBG is better for you. They are typically pretty similar in their uses, so the difference is not extravagant.

However, CBG has a much more prominent effect on the body’s neurological system. This affects issues or symptoms such as anxiety, depression, mood swings, focus, and more.

CBD has a greater effect on the body’s physical status. So in this sense, CBD roll-ons and hemp lotions usually prefer to use CBD in higher amounts because it can help relieve pain and inflammation.

Both CBD and CBG help relieve anxiety. CBD is better for mild anxiety cases, whereas CBG has a greater effect on it. Research has even shown that CBG is linked to increased levels of dopamine which helps reduce anxiety and depression.

CBG itself even binds to the specific endocannabinoid receptors in the brain.

So if you’re wondering if you should use CBG or CBD, take into consideration what symptom you’re trying to alleviate.
